Just got an offer via email
I currently have a v6 with mixit tv (freeview), 100Mb BB and a phoneline (not used)
I pay £37 a month and I've been offered Virgin 360 (i assume it's an OTA upgrade to my v6) Maxit TV, 350Mb BB and the phone.
The new price would be £46 a month for 18 months and then £94 (i wont be paying that).
I'm very tempted, and i guess a mini box isn't included?
I've been reading about the 360 and users report it's very fast.
Is the performance the same for an upgraded v6?
Finally this seems like a good deal, but is it?
TIA for any replies.

I can't comment on the subscription side of your offer but a V6 converted to run the 360 software is very nippy when compared to running the old TiVo software. I have two upgraded V6s and the speed is very good as is the vastly improved interface.

Re: Just got an offer via email
What is the best way to get good offers? My friend is paying £75 max tv, internet, phone and cinema channels over 2 boxes in the house. Removing all the max tv and movies would only reduce the amount to 72 quid.
To remove the second box and just have freeview basically on tv, internet and phone would be 62 quid.
This doesn’t seem right at all! My friend is a single mother so is always looking to make savings but that’s all she’s been offered in terms of reducing the contract until February next year

Being in a contract massively reduces your options

Re: Just got an offer via email
Thanks for the answer heavyside, I've decided to to take the offer.
As was pointed out by jaymoss, Vm have no incentive to give you a good offer when in contract.
