Re: Season 2018/2019
Agreed, far less possession but 7 shots on target to Uniteds 1 or 2, by far the better chances. For my money Romero was Uniteds best player which says it all.

At least if De Gea leaves they have a decent already made replacement.

True but as the BBC Player Ratings show he got less than the lowest marked Wolves player - what does that say about the rest of the team?!?

The rest of the team were distinctly average yesterday and that is me being fair and unbiased in my analysis of them.

Re: Season 2018/2019
Greedy Spanish barstewards.
Copied from an email I have just received from United.
Following confirmation that tickets for our UEFA Champions League quarter final away game against FC Barcelona will be priced at £102, we believe that our travelling supporters are again being subjected to increased/excessive ticket prices from the host club.
Similarly to Valencia in the group stages and Sevilla FC away last season, we have again taken the difficult decision to charge FC Barcelona fans for the home leg at Old Trafford the same amount that FC Barcelona are charging for the away fixture (£102). We will use the additional revenue gained from this to subsidise our travelling support by paying the £27 price difference for each of our travelling supporters.
To ensure that the club adhere to competition rules, we have had to implement the same pricing structure for our non-members that wish to attend the home leg. Therefore a ticket for a non-member in your area of the stadium will be priced at £102.

Not sure that was a penalty to England.

Whilst that is a disgusting price for non members to pay, good on United for charging the Barcelona fans the same so they can subsidise fans going to Spain. Can't think of many clubs that would do the same. Just how do clubs get away with justifying their ticket prices though????

Re: Season 2018/2019
So do Montenegro just get a slap for Racism. A closed doors match. At what point is the idea of complete expulsion from the group and future qualifying groups going to come into play or at the very least an absolute ban on playing at home throughout the qualifying period and a complete ban on away tickets being sold.
Commentator just said Montenegro aren't renowned for being racist after finally acknowledging what was happening. It'd only been going on for 90 minutes...
I'm not sure he realised his first statement might be a terrible gaffe if people noticed.
Edit: they've noticed. Clive is taking a battering on twitter. He was part of a Kickitout speech 3 days ago. Whoops.

Re: Season 2018/2019
l absolutely agree with much of what you say as yes lets see if UEFA can back up their strong words with fitting punishments rather then just talk the talk as for long as l can remember Racism has been a problem.
Yeah l remember good old Clive when he was at the BBC and its nothing personal but l did not rate him then as a commentator then as he tending to say things without thinking and nothing he has done since has changed my mind.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been confirmed as Manchester United's full-time manager on a three-year deal.

Re: Season 2018/2019
As long as new player recruiting is taken out of Woodward’s hands and he keeps Mike Phelan on board he should be ok. I would still have left it until the season end as first agreed, it’s not as though there was a danger of him being poached.

Yeah if there is anybody they need to get rid of its Woodward but seeing he is the Glazer's servile front man that ain't going to happen.
