magic eye not working

i have a sky+ hd box in my lounge and a magic eye (TV Link) connected to my 2nd tv in my bedroom, its been work for the last six months, but last week started not letting me turn the channels over, now the sky has dissapeared all together! I only got the tv a few months ago but none of the channels had tuned in properly either so ive just unplugged the magic eye and retuned the tv!! theres a red light on the magic eye when its plugged in, though im sure its normally green! I am completely clueless when it comes to doing things like this (someone else set it up for me) so please reply in dumbass terms! Not even sure what to do on the tv!!! cheers!
