Re: Any news on 5G

Just to point out that I think that's for the 24 month SIM.

If you opt for a 12 month SIM it's £30 a month for Unlimited.

Re: Any news on 5G

I see Vodafone are making sure people know it's their 5G being used. Can't exactly blame them. :-)

well it is and it isn't. VM are using the Vodafone RAN everything else is VM.

So it's a bit like Openreach claiming that all Broadband over their network is theirs

Re: Any news on 5G

Will this be included with the existing Ultimate Oomph deal?

Re: Any news on 5G

5G is available on the Oomph SIMs yes.

https://www.virginmedia.com/corporat...ices-in-the-uk
Quote:
Virgin Media’s broadband customers will also be able to choose a 5G plan* if taking one of the provider’s converged “Oomph” bundles that offer broadband, TV and mobile connectivity all in one place.
At the moment you have to upgrade to get 5G along with the move onto the Vodafone signal, but as all customers have to be moved over to Vodafone by 2022, then existing SIMs will be moved over between now and then
Quote:
In November 2019 Virgin Media announced a new MVNO agreement with Vodafone which includes a range of innovative services including 5G. Virgin Media’s current MVNO agreement with BT Enterprise will come to an end in late 2021, at which point all of Virgin Media’s mobile offering will transition to Vodafone.

Thanks Ben. I have a Vodafone 5G iPhone so will hold off for now and stay on the EE virtual network. The Virgin sim is in my mobile broadband wifi device.

Re: Any news on 5G

No 5G around here, not even planned according to the VM coverage map.

Re: Any news on 5G

I knew that 5G masts were nearby(one less than 100m away), but I was surprised to find Vodafone/VM seem to be the only ones, not providing 5G in this area.

Oh my thats disturbingly close..... I am very worried of being exposed to high signal levels of 24-39GHz,I have heard bad things can happen and im afraid of it....

People have been destroying 5G towers here in the states because its clear to us THEY DONT CARE IF ITS DANGEROUS.... They want the $$$$$$$$$$$ using these services and that puts us in possible danger!

If they would not use 24-39Ghz it wouldnt be a problem...... (The upper tier) -- 5G has other tiers it can use w/o possibly harming people.......

You should stop reading moronic internet conspiracy websites. Try reading some actual science.

Only complete brain donors believe this crap. Seriously, get over it. If you have the wit and intelligence to post on here, you have the necessary skills to cure yourself of this.

That would be because they are not dangerous.
