re: Chuck : Season 3
I'd ignore that list, I saw programs that have been cancelled for months say that they've been renewed. It would be great if it was renewed, it's one of the very few decent shows that are on these days. I hope it doesn't get cancelled, and well we know NBC is a big fan of the show.

Ah, sorry for the pace change. Should've thought.
Not a major spoiler though, at all - popper's post was simply mentioning...
Doesn't spoil the main plot, or anything about the main characters.

re: Chuck : Season 3
Although I watch a fair bit of US TV shows, I've never really understood how the TV companies seem to come to some of their decisions on canning/renewing shows beyond the possibility they flip a coin in some cases.
The system takes no account of things like PVRs and the like. When shows like Dollhouse and The Sarah Connor Chronicles are scheduled for a Friday night when the target demographic audience they're after is more likely to be out doing things at the start of their weekend, is it a surprise that these shows get lower live viewing figures and high PVR figures?
Can somebody explain it to the simpletons among us how these studios think? Surely in these times of serious advertising cutbacks, it makes more sense to retain a known and trusted show they can be more sure of the ratings on than can it in favour of some unknown that bombs?
Sorry - rant over!

re: Chuck : Season 3
For the networks, everything is about advertising revenue... people who watch stuff using PVRs don't watch adverts.
It does amaze me though that they still don't realise that Friday nights are a rather stupid time to put something on.
Dollhouse & T:SCC aren't the first shows Fox has giving the kiss of death to by putting on a Friday night:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friday_...OX_and_Fridays
Back to Chuck... I don't think it gets stellar ratings, but it's certainly been doing better than some other shows AFAIK, plus it's had a lot of critical praise, & the Network actually likes it. Hopefully, when the bean counters at NBC decide on what lives & what dies, they'll give Chuck a thumbs-up.
