Canon Pixma G5050 Megatank
Ordered this printer direct from Canon on Monday as everywhere else was out of stock to replace one of my printers that no longer operates correctly and it was delivered by UPS today.
What a nifty little printer completely different to what im used to setting up and it works great and is quite fast to.
I would definitely recommend this printer to people who want something for general printing and photography work.

I’ve used Canon for around 10 years now (on my second one). Can’t fault them.

https://www.internet-ink.com/
Use GIVEME10 at checkout for a 10% discount. I always get compatible cartridges from them. Great value and never any problems. If your printer is a brand new model it can take a few months for them to start stocking compatibles, but they will stock OEM inks anyway.

Chortle
The print head wore out ... happens to the best of them. I kept it going a while longer by flushing it with hot water periodically but with any cheap consumer printer once you start getting persistent ink blockages its number is up. I got about 6-7 years of heavy use out of the first one though, and loved it so much I searched very hard to replace it with the identical model even though it was discontinued.

Wow, that’s a surprise ... did you try and contact them directly to ask? They’re a small-ish independent company, I suspect they’ll be able to give you a helpful answer if you do.

The problem is finding a good quality substitute that wont ruin the printer.
Any Recommendations?
