EE Signal Box

Interesting thread on VM's community forum about installing an EE signal box to boost poor indoor Virgin Mobile reception:

Re: EE Signal Box

I have one and it does work with Virgin Mobile phones. You've just got to be aware that anyone in range on an EE based network can connect to it. I've noticed mine flashing to indicate someone is in a call when nobody in the house is. Whether that bothers you compared with the alternative being a crap signal is down to you. They are good though, EE decommissioned a nearby mast so indoor coverage went pretty much none existent and now everyone gets full signal with the box

Re: EE Signal Box

How do you go about getting one, I'd heard unless you were a business user you had no chance of getting one. I have a pay monthly sim only contract on TMobile

---

Just looked, according to this, they don't do it any more??

Re: EE Signal Box

You've also got to be aware it will stop working with Virgin Mobile phones as soon as their network upgrades are complete.

It's no longer available to buy but if you live in an area with poor coverage, particularly one that has become poor due to their network rationalisation you can call Technical Support and explain the situation and ask for one which is free of charge. You'll be fine on T-Mobile pay monthly it's just Pay as you go they won't give them to, I was on EE pay monthly when I got mone

Re: EE Signal Box

I'm solving my T-Mobile/EE signal the simple way, moving to O2.

EE signal is the biggest shower of ...

I'm just waiting for O2 to bring a certain phone out and I will pay to leave my contract with EE.
