paltalk_1/paltalk_2 ideas ppl?

Hi,

Got myself one of those virgin wireless routers. Didn't read the "read me first" leaflet. So the first thing the router did was kill my PC, OK this might have been a coincident but if your in IT you tend not to think like that. Any way that's not the issue, just thought I would sure that with you all (Win XP Pro).

The question is after I set the router up my way I looked at port triggering and found theses items already set up....

Just guessing that it has something to do with this http://www.paltalk.com/.

Why would my NEW router come pre-configured for paltalk?

Re: paltalk_1/paltalk_2 ideas ppl?

UPnP enabled maybe? could have opened the ports by itself then.

UPnP opens ports on the fly, it doesn't create custom portforwards

Re: paltalk_1/paltalk_2 ideas ppl?

I've seen Linksys, Netgear, Xycell and D-Link routers that have certain port forwarding rules in them from new. They are not active, just there as a time saving feature when it comes to setting up port forwading for some common services/applications.
