Question LG TV problem

Have two lg TVs with a neet spitter just replaced one and now have a problem. If I switch one off it cuts connection between the other one and the V6. The only way that I can keep it on is to turn the power off on that tv.doing by remote or switch on TV it cuts the connection to the other. Any thoughts ?

Re: lg TV problem

There might be a setting on the TV to change the HDMI behaviour when the TV is in standby. Possibly an 'Eco' Setting.

Reply from neet and all now well ----I hope!!!

I see .. you need to turn control for HDMI OFF in the new Tv .. this can also be called CEC .. CEC is a time saving device which allows the devices to talk to each other .. so when you turn the TV OFF it sends a message to the other devices to also turn OFF .. here are some other trade names for CEC

Anynet (Samsung); Aquos Link (Sharp); BRAVIA Sync (Sony); HDMI-CEC (Hitachi); Kuro Link (Pioneer); CE-Link and Regza Link (Toshiba); RIHD (Remote Interactive over HDMI) (Onkyo); SimpLink (LG); HDAVI Control, EZ-Sync, and VIERA Link (Panasonic); EasyLink (Philips); and NetCommand for HDMI (Mitsubishi

Kind regards

Danny<neet
