Re: 3 or 4 wheeled walking aids
I've never used one but the 4 wheels ones can have a seat, and more stable.

Re: 3 or 4 wheeled walking aids
If you use public transport then a 3 wheel could be better because they can fold to be easier to manage, the 4 wheel can get in the way and be a pain.

Some look OK, but are too heavy when you have to go up or down a step or kerb. And the smaller the wheels, the harder they are to use on uneven surfaces.

Re: 3 or 4 wheeled walking aids
My mum has just got one of these
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Drive-SR8....c100508.m3226
She fractured her spine back in march and was completely bed ridden now thanks to this little beauty she walks about half a mile per day , not bad considering she is 81 it's lite and folds to fit in a car she loves it .

Re: 3 or 4 wheeled walking aids
That is a good price as some can cost £150 plus.

There's lots of them on ebay for under £50 and they make such a difference to a persons quality of life , she says she can feel her legs getting stronger even the stair lift is unplugged and the Bannister rail re installed so she now walks up the stairs .

Re: 3 or 4 wheeled walking aids
My Mum used this as it was easy to manoeuvre both inside and outside, sorry can't comment on the 4 wheeled aids. https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/Drive-Three...r=492730081133
What you could do if a mobility shop is near you is go and try the 4 and 3 wheeled walking aids decide what suits your needs best then order from Ebay, we found Ebay to be the best for price remember and tick VAT Relief Eligible if you qualify as we bought my late Mum many things before we were made aware that our situation made any aids for my Mum VAT relief eligible.

Certainly many things to consider, certainly uneven surface like grass.

And the many uneven pavements and roads you experience in quite a few place nowadays plus trying to find a flat road level pavement area where you move across the road without too much hassle and discomfort..
