It’s not stupid - just the user who doesn’t realise the remote has a flat side which, when face-down, is stable and in the logical position to be picked up.

As previously discussed in the original thread on this subject, the Virgin V6 box will NOT be changing anytime soon. The TiVo box in this article is clearly meant for the US sell-through market.
The V6 box in the UK is still relatively new, comparable to its competitors. The only thing that is probably going to happen is the V6 software and the current TiVo user interface will be upgraded to either the new Horizon U.I or a newer TiVo interface.
