Customer Service

I have always believed that CS is obtained by dialling 150, but 151 gives the same result.

What is the difference ?

It seems he is trying to be funny but not helpful (no change there ). I Googled 151 for hits in the last year and did not find a VM page referencing it so maybe it now just redirects to 150?

Re: Customer Service

Historically (in the days before IVR systems) 150 was for Customer Services and 151 for Faults. Nowadays it probably doesn't make any difference which number you call.

You'll get equally crap service from each, so yes, no difference.

Virgin isn't the only operator that you could apply this to. Orange used to have 150 for CS, 151 faults, 152 billing, 156 mobile data, 159 roaming & international. All now converged under 150.

The purpose of this post being, spiderplant is probably absolutely right and I'm quite surprised VM even ever had a separate faults line to be honest. I'm pretty certain the 789 & 150 IVRs have a similar redirect too.

Well given we have been customers for a fairly long time l would have to disagree with your succinct but wrong analysis there Mr K as the times we have had to phone up any problems have been sorted out forthwith.

Its not as crap a service as you seem to want to make out.

Yes, they are much older than that. 150, 151 etc were in use in GPO Telephone days. (Plus dial 100 for the operator. I wonder if that still works?)
