Just burned through the first four episodes - really enjoying it.
It reminds me a lot of West Wing (but with much more profanity), with the banter between believable (mostly) characters, but also showing how real-world politics is messy, and complicated by unreliable narrators…
Really pleased they’ve confirmed Season 2 will be made.

Re: What are you watching right now?
We watched the Eurovision at the weekend. Some of the songs are so bad it is actually good fun to watch. Nice to see countries coming together too.

I have the last 2 episodes of season 2 to watch on my TiVo.
I read that the Lois actress has had a better following than Superman.

Jonathan Kent has been replaced in S3 but it hasn't ruined it for me.

All I've heard is personal reasons and mental health.

Watched the last four episodes - enjoyed it even more.
What a cracking cliffhanger ending (especially as it’s soundtracked to Pink Floyd’s "The Great Gig In The Sky").

Debora Cahn was the writer producer
As you said, it reminded you the West Wing ....
Quote:
Debora Cahn is an award-winning writer/producer known for The West Wing (1999), Homeland (2020), Paterno (2018), Grey's Anatomy (2005) and Fosse/Verdon (2019). Cahn was part of the writing staff that won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series for The West Wing in 2003, and part of the writing staffs nominated for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series for The West Wing in 2006 and Grey's Anatomy in 2007.

I first heard about it, when a real British Diplomat mentioned 1-2 procedural errors in the Times, FT (?)
Also, I am surprised that the British Diplomat salaries are so low:
Quote:
The salary starts at £37,037 per year and goes up to £93,151 per year for the highest level of seniority.
