Amazon Prime

With Amazon getting 99.9% of next years tennis coverage I would like to get prime, does anyone know (I have tried searching but couldn't find the answer) if Virgin are ever going to do a deal to get an app on the platform like Netflics etc or are we going to have to either upgrade to a smart TV or get a firestick?

Other options such as PC or Tablet will work.

There has not been any confirmation yet of Amazon joining Netflix on the V6 boxes, but I would not be surprised if it arrived next year. It was added to BT boxes recently.

In the meantime, you can purchase an Amazon Fire or Roku stick (or box) and if you have wi-fi, just connect that to a spare HDMI at the back of your TV set and plug it in and you are away.

You can choose between an annual or monthly subscription for Amazon.

Primes not just about TV, you get unlimited photo storage without quality reduction and free next day shipping on purchases.

Obviously if you never want to upload 1000s of photos and you never shop at Amazon then you may not get much benefit.

Re: Amazon Prime

Theres unlimited free photo storage on Google. Do order from Amazon but frequently find their free super saver delivery comes a lot faster than they say anyway, often the next day.

Not without your photos getting compressed.

I don't know what you watch, Mr K, but there's a lot of ppl who would disagree with that comment, there are some really good shows on Amazon Prime Video imo.

There is some good stuff on Amazon Prime just as much there is some rubbish on there but the same sentiment applies to other platforms as well.

Just seemed to be a lot imported American trash when I looked ! Still each to their own.

(only thing I found worth watching was 'Paddington 2' )

Just because it's American doesn't make it 'trash'. The quality of some of their dramas is second to none. You should give them a try!

It doesn't need to be homegrown to be enjoyable, though, Mr K. Of course, if your definition of enjoyable is old black and white movies, I can see why you might have been unimpressed. I've seen enough of them for a lifetime!

Homegrown drama is best made by the BBC and ITV IMO.

Have you watched 'The Crown' yet, Den? I'd say that is a pretty good example of BBC quality.
