Since smart meter has added 30% to our electricity bills I can't say I'm enamoured by them.

Yes and mine ( well my family's) does that very well and has done so since at least the 1880,s Not that anyone here ( UK) would be contributing to that, well at least not these days .sold up a few years ago (UK)
