It's all working fine here (apart from the failure to identify UHD programmes when doing a VM search). Have you tried re-booting? This normally sorts out issues such as these.

It is the button marked 'back' and not the back button ' < '

All is working fine here.

If you've got Talking Pictures and Film Four, you need pay for nothing else. All that glitters isn't new. Don't how folks have the time to watch all these channels/streaming rip offs.

They're no more rip offs, as you put it, than any other content provider, in fact they can be very cheap, depending on what you want to watch.

I find this and invaluable source of info in regards to movies on TV that's in line with my package.

https://nextfilm.uk/

I can always find 10 to 15 movies I'd like to watch without a subscription to Sky Movies, Netflix or Amazon. Freeview and basic pay TV channels are a treasure trove of quality movies.

I bought my 5 year old son a Youview box for his room. Over Christmas and Easter I recorded nearly 40 animated movies from the likes of Disney and Pixar that where broadcast on the BBC, ITV and other free channels. Also recorded 7 of the Star Wars movies in HD. He loves it. It's like his own wee selection of quality movies on demand.

Yuk! No error code

Do you have your V6 directly connected to the SuperHub and the Hub in standard router mode, or a more esoteric setup?

Does the HDMI cable go straight from V6 to TV, or do you also have other equipment such as an amp connected?

What make & model TV do you have?

What Video Output Format setting do you have on the V6?

I have 2 V6 boxes it's working on one box/TV but not the other.

  • Both are connected by WiFi
  • I've never changed the router mode
  • Directly connected by HDMI
  • LG 40UB800V
  • Video Output Format is defaulted

Excellent. Did you notice what format it was before, and what is it now?

Re: Netflix/Streaming Services

In order to protect the income that VM generates from the TV box sets and movies that are available to buy or rent on Virgin Media Store and Virgin Movies, where the content is also on Prime Video they have not integrated it into Search & Discover.

Pretty clever. But if you would like to save a bit of money, check Prime Video before you buy or rent anything from Virgin Media Store or Virgin Movies as it can be cheaper.

I thought it was defaulted as per the 2nd box but it was actually on 2160p (it is a 4K TV) now it's on 1080p and working

Your TV should be capable of 2160p. Are you sure you are using a high-speed HDMI cable?

Not true at all, as a quick search will show you. Try "Arrow" for starters.

As already pointed out, VM Store and Virgin Movies aren't owned by Virgin Media. They are owned by Vubiquity, who provide VOD services for many companies.

Arrow is included with an Amazon Prime subscription and is therefore included in Search & Discover. Try search for anything that is not included, and is only available to buy or rent (i.e. any brand new content).

Virgin Media Store and Virgin Movies ARE owned by Virgin Media, they are only provided for Virgin Media by Vubiquity.
