Given their diametrically opposed positions regarding Brexit. I suspect that would not happen.

The Lib Dems will never be able to improve their placings if everyone votes negatively or strategically.
The problem is that so many people seem to have the view that nothing will ever change. Well, it won't if ingrained behaviours do not change.
However, we will not have more of this. I do not see a coalition or no overall control rising from the ashes of this parliament.

This is the latest update from ITV's Joe Pike as he bumped into Dominic Cummings..

DC: We’re not going to have one.
Me: Really?
DC: They’ll vote for EU citizens and we’ll have to pull it.

I'm just being pragmatic, I don't intend to give the local Tories a helping hand in through the back door by voting for a candidate (Lib Dem) that has no chance of being elected. I suspect there will be quite a lot of tactical voting around the country.

Indeed that is what makes this election very unpredictable and volatile.

The amendments on votes at 16 and votes for EU nationals not set to be put to vote.

This means the prospect of the government facing a defeat on these issues, and then deciding to pull the bill, has probably been removed.

My preference has always been the Monster Raving Loony Party . . . but it now seems there are about 5 of them

They seem to be putting more time and effort into debating this than most other Brexit related bills.

Professor John Curtice is the UK's leading election expert so it seems a very strange question as to who is paying him as l struggle to find what great relevance that has to do with it.

It's just a voting prediction jfman, it's not the same as those strange women in circus tents that ask for payment in order to predict your fascinating and totally believable future

So you're confident of a Conservative win and keen to ensure the opposition don't coalesce around the one party with a chance of winning the election.
At least don't do it under the pretence of "nothing will ever change unless folk vote Lib Dem.

I'd be interested in what he was doing on the afternoon of 23rd June 2016, who he was providing data to and what they used it for.
