Re: December 2019 General Election

IMO, the 'man in the street' will probably avoid Lib Dems . . not because of their Brexit stance, but because of all the other stuff that may well come afterwards if they win

Yes and if Boris needs to do a deal with them to get a majority then prepare for no deal brexit as they would accept nothing less.

You are such a cynic. No, that's not why I said it at all. You and I know that Labour will not win and the best chance of not wasting your vote if you don't want to vote Conservative is to vote Lib Dem (or Brexit in some areas).

In case you hadn't noticed, the LDs are top of the poll above as I write, so people should stop and think about that.

Re: December 2019 General Election

A poll of 15 users of a fairly niche internet forum?

It's 100% why you said it and I've no idea why you are claiming that "you and I know Labour will not win" or that, even if not a Lib Dem vote is not a more effective one. Absolutely staggering logic, just ask any student in 2010.

People will vote with their own conscience as to what candidate they want to put their cross by.

Who they vote for is their own business and nobody elses and they should be respected for that.

I'm glad you've admitted that this forum is not representative of the general public, jfman, and you are definitely a one-off!

However, if you can read my mind from that distance, I am sure you can make good money from this ability.

It is not why I said it, man. You have a very odd way of thinking most of the time and you don't know me at all.

Oh, I do, and I completely respect your decision to vote for that nice Mr Corbyn last time around.

However, a bit of food for thought sometimes does no-one any harm.

Seems odd you "know" I don't think Labour can win but at the same time I can't apply my the same logic to "know" you are absolutely at it.

You're terrified Labour will win, hence peppering the forum with "food for thought" as you put it. Right wing propaganda might be another name for it.

Indeed l did vote for Labour in 2017 as the better of two evils but as like the Conservatives they have become even more unelectable in the passing two plus years someone else will be getting my vote for the first time.

Re: December 2019 General Election

Thread closed.

Sorry, I didn’t spot this before now. We usually run election opinion poll threads in an orderly way per campaign week. I will be managing that process to ensure it’s all done consistently - beginning when an election is actually called, and it hasn’t been (yet).

Please don’t start any election threads in the meantime.
