Re: Is it Art?
Wow, that's incredible
Going back to the pavement paintings by Julian Beever (who I've been a huge fan of for a while now) what do you think of the stuff that Banksy [banksy.co.uk] has produced? Is it art?

Some of them look quite cool (I'm not sure why they should not be classed as art. They probably would be if they were vases/regular ceramics). Mind you, perhaps he should be rethink some of these designs. Hygiene/Ease of cleaning does not appear to be very high on his list. Urinals and nooks and crannies do not mix well.

Urine is actually sterile when released from to body.I can't see the cleaning of these urinals being any more of a problem than the usual ones.I think the shell was was probably the best design.

It may be sterile, but it does smell. One of the pubs out here is famous for its marble urinals. I can say from experience that it looks nice, but the smell is awfull... Frankly, I think it needs ripping out and starting anew.

Re: Is it Art?
20 years after Chernobyl, these pics are very atmospheric & poignant....
I think they're art as historical record...
