Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Only had morphine once, and that was an injection when I came around from my knee surgery. Had barely woken up, and they said oh we'll inject morphine for the pain. Next thing I know I am waking up on the ward. Great stuff, and can see why it is so addictive.
Hopefully the doctor will not be a pain and stand in the way.

One of the side effects of morphine in quite high doses is from my own experiences having nightmares.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Some of the pills i'm on for my neuropathic pain give me very odd dreams indeed. Not bad ones though.

Another week, another PB smashed - 12.5 miles, really happy with that - along with the 1700 calories I burned off along the way

Well done Russ. You seem to be going from strength to strength. When is you half marathon?

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
March 2nd. As a rule of thumb you should be able to run 10 miles 2 weeks before the Half then slowly taper off to avoid injury. If you can do more then obviously that's better but it's not generally considered a necessity. I was thinking of pushing for the extra .6 mile but I figured that would take the shine off my achievement on the day. Plus the blister on my foot was aching

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
After having a nightmare with mice in the house for the last 6 months, it has now been 1 month since i last killed one! I think a couple of ultrasonic devices did the trick and possibly peppermint oil.
