yeah agree there Zing...but it is good...only thing I dont like is the B&W historic bits at the beginning other then that its alright but yeah not on par with BoB but then its only the 1st 2 eps we have seen.

Not seen any yet, but I'll be getting it on DVD to go with my BoB box set.

I`ve got to agree with Zing on this one.
They should have gave up while they were ahead if you ask me.

Bit soon to say that isn't it? you havent seen The Pacific all the way through yet.
No offence but I hate it when people say such things "it not as good as...." when it hasn't even finished.

Re: The Pacific (Sky Movies from April 4th)
Band of Brothers was excellent from start to finish. This is slowly improving for me. I'd say it's no Band of Brothers too...

Re: The Pacific (Sky Movies from April 4th)
well, I think we'd probably be saying the same if The pacific was first and then Band of Brothers followed. I don't think we should compare the two. The Pacific is very good in my opinion.
By the way, later this year I'm planning on visiting the place in Switzerland where they filmed the "Austria" scenes of Band Of Brothers first time I saw it was on BOB and it was so beautiful there, I wanna visit that place, gonna go to that hotel where they filmed near the end of the series too (where some soldiers walk up to Winters and say goodbye to him etc)

Re: The Pacific (Sky Movies from April 4th)
Just saw the very last episode, I didn't realise the main characters where based on real people.
This one had a very impressive record
One of them Lewis Burwell "Chesty" Puller was an officer in the United States Marine Corps. Puller is the most decorated U.S. Marine in history, and the only Marine to receive five Navy Crosses, the United States Navy's and Marines' highest decoration for valor.
Awards
Navy Cross (x5)
Distinguished Service Cross
Silver Star
Legion of Merit (x2)
Bronze Star
Air Medal (x3)
Purple Heart

Re: The Pacific (Sky Movies from April 4th)
I stopped watching after the guy who was in season 2 off 24 stopped being in episodes. I think he played Lucky or someone with a similar name. Focusing on that kid has been terrible. I haven't watched the final 3 episodes yet.
