Help Needed With Wireless Network.. Please! lol.
Hey spent ages trying to get my pc connected wirelessly yesterday to a netgear modem, i set up a new network so my laptops could also connect! all seemed well in the end!
But this morning after shutting down the pc last night i now cant connect to the internet on the main pc but i can still connect through the laptops!! lol
Does anyone have any ideas on how i can get the internet explorer working again on the main pc?
Cheers.

Got IP addresses on the PC's /Laptops that are not working? Do you have encryption enabled on the router?

To save re-inventing the wheel - have a search of Cable Forum on how do this - it's been covered many many times.

try ipconfig /all from the command line.
Can you ping the router / laptops from the computer
Are you using DHCP or is your ip addresses set up manually

Yes of course. It's faster, more secure, and more reliable than wireless.

In most cases no config changes are necessary to connect a PC to a router via ethernet. If you're using XP or Vista it will probably work on the fly - ie don't even have to shutdown. Otherwise, just reboot the PC after plugging in the cable.

You shouldn't even need to reboot. So long as you haven't changed any major settings, it will work as soon as you have plugged it in.
