Indeed its like a cartel where each phones each other up to discuss their forthcoming price rises and the agreeded party line.

They take it in turns to announce these price rises, and the rest follow.

Re: Bad news everyone SSE to raise energy prices aprox 8.2 %

They always bleat about "Wholesale Prices" rising. Maybe it's the wholesalers who are the true rip-off merchants? Plus the government who tag on a big whack for "green" purposes?

Re: Bad news everyone SSE to raise energy prices aprox 8.2 %

I knew this would happen as soon as big gob Milliband said he would freeze the charges. It was pretty dam obvious that they would start to increase prices well before hand to cover for his big mouthed threats

And always just before the proper cold weather comes in.

they always say we've been making a loss and been paying out of our own pockets.

and they always say we're ripping you off, but we don't care.

another thing I read about Milliband and the price freeze thing. the conservatives said it's just a con.

the conservatives know what a con is.
you have to wonder if they know because they themselves con us all the time.

Baaaaaa!

This was going to happen no matter what any politician was going to spout off and it will happen again next year as well.

Re: Bad news everyone SSE to raise energy prices aprox 8.2 %

I've just done £1150 for the year gas+electric with British Gas. with this + 10% ? it'll be £115 more for the year coming. I could save £150 fixed for the year coming if i switch to EDF. hmm...
