Can't say l am a lover of Mrs Brown Boys as there is too much swearing in it for my liking but Les Miserables , Luther and several other programmes catch the eye.

The BBC’s core mission to inform, educate and entertain - just because you (and I*) don’t enjoy Mrs Brown, doesn’t mean that others don’t.

Different strokes, etc....

(*I would rather peel my own face off than watch it)

Re: BBC reveal Christmas schedule

Well as you say Hugh each to their own taste as Mrs Brown Boys is obviously popular as it generally pulls in between 7 to 9 million viewers.

Re: BBC reveal Christmas schedule

Have to say my wife and I love Mrs Brown's Boys.

Don't know if it's the Irish and Scottish family but the humour is much to our taste.

Still gutted there is no Doctor Who on Christmas day, but hopefully the switch to New Year will help the story be better as the last few specials haven't been the greatest.

Looking forward to Luther and Call the Midwife though.

Can't say a new version of Watershed down is very Christmas Day viewing however. The original is still brilliant but sad and heartbreaking story.

Re: BBC reveal Christmas schedule

Only thing really worth watching on Xmas evening is the Boxing Day Test Match from Australia, plenty of sunshine if nothing else
