Re: Big Brother: Channel 5 close to deal

Channel 5 already doesnt have much worth watching so if they want to get Big Brother then the channel is going even more down the pan.

This show had its sell by date years ago.

I watch Burn Notice on FX months ahead of Channel Five, plus you also see True Blood months ahead of Channel 4 on FX as well.

Re: Big Brother: Channel 5 close to deal

Of all the good stuff Sky bought (House, 24, etc), why did they not buy BB if it is so popular? Perhaps because even they draw the line at such poor quality TV.

Re: Big Brother: Channel 5 close to deal

Just wish if it has to come back it was on some obscure digital only channel where they could stream 24 hour viewing & no one would care. Rather than on a main terrestrial channel. It is that Ch5 have bizarrely chosen to bring this corpse of a show back to life that most object to. If they only show this on fiver I would be happy.

Re: Big Brother: Channel 5 close to deal

God, I hate this show. all it is, is a platform for attention seeking idiots that take a chance of the public either liking them or hating them.

I won't be watching it.

Re: Big Brother: Channel 5 close to deal

Channel 5 are not going to force anyone to watch it. They are going to air it if they come to an arrangement with Endomel and thats it. What people do after that is up to them.

Re: Big Brother: Channel 5 close to deal

Never watched past a couple of bits of the first show. The issue is with all the promotion of the show that goes on in the media. Wherever you looked there was some reference to BB so even if you never watched it, you were still subjected to the comments & promotional carp.

I don't by newspapers & still got the carp. If I choose to watch something like CSI on C5 or FiveUSA, BB will be promoted during the ad breaks so no getting away from it.
