This thread made me laugh, didnt catch it the first time round..... I can see a sketch in something like the fast show, kids pushing their parents around in trollies in Tescos.

Been tempted to do that. I wouldn't though.

At work, we often use large trolleys to convey heavy and expensive equipment between buildings. When I say heavy, I don't know how heavy, but considerably more heavy than the average man. If you are taking a trolley, students often just look at you blankly as you head toward them shouting "Excuse me" loudly. They don't seem to realise that the equipment you are carrying would probably cause them a lot of damage if it hit them.

🙋*♀️ Lol. Thought I'd drag this post forward another 6 years.

With further life experience, I would now not take a child to the supermarket at all. They're all ****ers. Thank goodness for online shopping 🙌

If they're not being pushed by someone in pyjamas, it's OK by me.

Even more of a problem if the poo is still there after all this time, it'd be like those white ones we fondly remember from our youths

Re: Massive Kids riding in supermarket trolleys

I used to attempt the weekly shop with kids and quickly learnt that its impossible.
I can do it a lot more efficiently and quickly without them.

This thread has made me laugh and, as I'm not really a morning person, that takes some doing so thanks for that. Also nice seeing some of the contributors names again and especially seeing orangebird on the forum.

Re: Massive Kids riding in supermarket trolleys

How do kids learn how to buy food if you don't teach them?

Going to the stores, touching, smelling and where possible tasting. Helps if your store has knowledgable staff who also love their produce.
