Non-essential shops and transport limitations will be in place from the rumours so far.
It's sounding like lockdown minus. Lockdown but schools and universities are open.

Probably having trouble making the "science" sound even remotely credible/ colouring in a few slides and making some wild graphs to make the "science" look vaguely realistic if you don't question it too much.

'Eat out to help out', worked out well didn't it? A tenner saved and a virus gained. Glad I opted out...

Cui Bono?
Who stands to benefit from a made up national lockdown?

Hard to say, do any of the scientists /advisers have shares in companies producing vaccines, constant lock downs would quickly promote the use of a vaccine and make a few people very rich

I didn't participate but yes it was a master class in stupidity.
I can't wait for the briefing, i love the colouring in and wiggly lines, it really makes me believe in the "science" and feel my life is in good hands.

The usual nonsense from you. Yes it did work out well, and Im glad I opted in.
You have zero evidence it caused many issues, esp given it finished two months ago.
Sending students back has caused the biggest issue around here.

Re: Coronavirus
It looks like some of the online supermarket sites are being overwhelmed with the Sainsburys website down, No Waitrose delivery slots available and Morrisons stating they have no delivery slots until mid-November.

Really? If not, it rather begs the question of by what other mechanism is it transmitted. It's about how people behave in pubs and restaurants, ie NOT wearing masks.

Chatting in pubs, restaurants and homes was "mostly" how coronavirus spread before Wales' firebreak lockdown, Public Health Wales has said.
Dr Chris Williams, of PHW's data analysing surveillance team, said most cases had nothing to do with venues making mistakes.
The cases were simply down to how people behaved.
"It's not to do particularly with the nature of the pub or the bar," said Dr Williams.
"It's just the fact that you're talking to someone across a table who's in a different household.
"Talking, unfortunately, is great for transmission, as is singing and shouting.
"Those are the kind of things that we see, that manifest themselves in the rising numbers."

Wouldn’t all the virologists and epidemiologists in all the countries in the world have to be involved?

My sister told me the local asda was having the shelves emptied by panic buyers this afternoon.

Yeah but......meh.
You can still buy whatever you want from Tesco or online.
It’ll just kill the B&Q, small boutique shops, and hairdressers.........again when there is no evidence they are a risk.
Lockdowns are not the answer, unless you properly lockdown everything.
Locking down shops, hairdresser etc, but keeping schools & Universities open is just plain stupid. ( believe me I want schools to stay open).
Either lockdown or don’t lockdown.
I can’t stand this half-arsery, this “lockdown” will do nothing but cause hardship, grief and upset ........Merry Ffffin Christmas.
