Re: Tim Henman
He is is danger right now. Whys does everyone think henman deserves there complaints? He doesnt own us anything, he plays for himself and rightly so. However he does hold the weight of the nation on his shoulders and has to put up with the media which bulid him up just so they can slate him when he doesnt win. He has a good record at wimbledon
Its annoying to see people sit back and take pleasure as they smugly slate henman when he loses.

Re: [MERGED] Wimbledon 2005 thread
Actually, if you compare Henmans performancesa at Wimbledon to the English football teams' at 'Grand Slam' events (ie World Cup and European Championships), they're not much different.
Over the last, what, 10 years, Henman has had a chance and now gets to the Quarters or Semis, whereas England, over the last 10 tournaments (which I work out goes back to World Cup 86) are now consistently at least a quarter final team (although I do accept that they didn't qualify for the '94 World Cup ).

LOL
It definately was a long match indeed with loads of twists and turns.
However Tim just couldnt make it this time. I do think he did some great shots though.

Not possible- he's not a loser. He'd been puking all morning and still beat the world no 14 6-4 6-4 6-4.

Not so sure. He definitely seems to feed off the crowd, a reporter said that too on TV. I think the buzz surrounding him can help him, rather than with Henman who it hindered. Two completely different personalities.

Re: [MERGED] Wimbledon 2005 thread
Reading some of Murray's interviews on the wimbledon site he seems like he has the right attitude.
