Virgin Addict Extra question
The wife's interested in this but we're unsure about one thing. For a £10 top up you get the £10 worth of credit, plus 100 extra free minutes and unlimited texts. The extra minutes and texts are available for 1 month only and can't be carried over but what about any unused credit from the original £10 top up? What happens to that? Does it just add up? Can it be used to buy additional stuff web access?
Yours confusedly.
Cheers.

Re: Virgin Addict Extra question
My guess, as with most topup bonus deals, your purchased credit is yours until you spend it.
Is it a good deal though? - if the pile of texts float your boat, maybe, but otherwise, including the bonus minutes, £10 buys you 138 minutes, while on Simply 8p £10 would cover 125 minutes (not including the free 50 VM-VM minutes).
Maybe you could buy the data addon, or alternate between using that and the £15 tupup with a data allowance, but looks like the data bundle addon is a subscription thing, you buy, and then it renews unless you cancel - now if I wanted to subscribe something, I'd be on a pay monthly, not a PAYG!

Re: Virgin Addict Extra question
Thanks for the reply. The wife doesn't want a regular contract because her call usage isn't massive but varies quite a lot so it'd be nice to be able to pay for it when we need it and not when she doesn't. She currently buys 1 gb web usage pm for £5 on her existing PAYG tariff and hence wondered if the unused monthly credit on Addict Extra could be used for that.

Re: Virgin Addict Extra question
The unlimited texts aren't, it's actually 3000.
The unlimited texts and 100 free minutes start on the first day of the month following the one you topped up in & end on the last day of that month.
Your £10 credit does not run out & you can use some of it to "bolt on" a data bundle.
If the time comes for your data renewal & you dont have at least £5 credit on your phone, then the data does not get renewed.
If you do have £5 credit on your phone & dont want it to renew, there is a number to text to stop the renewal of data.

Re: Virgin Addict Extra question
3000 texts to me is unlimited, I get through just over a 1,000 I still think that qualifys to say it is unlimited, I mean some people take the P*%s and go over the top, really! more than 3,000 texts? You will find all networks do this as a fair usage cap, otherwise you will have businesses taking advantage of it and using a lot more meaning Virgin Mobile will have to increase prices to everyone to cover the cost of the excessive use by such individuals, bare in mind termination rates still apply to text messaging, so Virgin Mobile still has to pay those charges to other networks.
