Virgin SIM on Orange Locked Phone?

Is it possible? I know Tesco and GiffGaff work on o2 but I'm not sure if Virgin was originally T-Mobile or Orange.

Re: Virgin SIM on Orange Locked Phone?

You could use a Virgin SIM in a phone that was locked to T-Mobile, but I don't know if that is still the case. As Orange network use is on roaming at the moment it probably is.

Re: Virgin SIM on Orange Locked Phone?

It doesn't work the other way - I got an Orange PAYG sim for 1p from Sainsburys the other day and it DOESN'T work in a Virginmedia supplied phone. So I assume it wouldn't work the other way round, but might be worth a punt on a Virginmedia PAYG sim to try?

Cheers

Orange SIM won't work in a Virginmedia phone, and never will. You might get a Virgin SIM to work in an Orange phone eventually when the networks are fully merged.
