Sky+ connection to tv via scart

Hi, we had out LG 42 inch tv on a stand but we have decided to put it onto the wall. In effect we hav had to get a 3 meter scart to connect the tv to our sky+ box. We have tried 3 leads and the picture quality is not as good as the original 1meter scart which is perfect. Any ideas y? Do we need a better quality scart?

Re: Sky+ connection to tv via scart

Providing the scart cable you bought is not a really cheap one there should be little difference in picture quality. They say the more you pay the better but I don't agree with that. The cable needs to be thick enough to insulate and protect from interference. If the cable is really thin then the longer the cable the worse the picture could get. Check all connections and ensure that they are properly inserted.
