Re: Renewals & Cancellations
I loved watching it, sad it got axed although with the way they ended Season 4 you have to wonder if the writers knew the ends was coming.

I am surprised, it was a great show but on set there was many problems with Clayne(Riggs) and have actually fired him. So have replaced the actor.

n addition, Seann William Scott will be joining the series following the firing of series co-lead Clayne Crawford. Crawford’s exit from the series came two weeks after it was revealed the former “Rectify” star had twice been reprimanded for his behavior on the “Lethal Weapon” set. In a statement posted on Instagram, Crawford provided details of two on-set incidents for which he was reprimanded, both related to concerns over working conditions.

Finally Gotham is confirmed for a fifth and final season.

Young Bruce Wayne’s caped crusade will not be coming to an abrupt end after all.
In an 11th hour decision, Fox has renewed Gotham for a fifth and final season, TVLine has learned. An episode count remains TBD. The pickup will allow producers to properly “wrap up” the Batman prequel saga, with the final season focusing on Bruce’s transformation into Batman.

Still no news on Agents of SHIELD.
I'm hoping this is a good thing since all other ABC cancellations have been announced.
Also still awaiting the fate of Timeless.

Re: Renewals & Cancellations
After the finale, I really hope Timeless is renewed again. What a cliffhanger!

Yes, we are hanging on. The Timeless finale was this morning (3.00am UK time), I haven't watched it yet but will be doing so tonight. AOS finale later this week.
I hope both get renewed. Even William Shatner is pushing for a renewal of Timeless.

If he wants it that much surely he could just pay for it himself and even serve as producer or something? This is why I need to win the national lottery or preferably the euro millions (not for Timeless but better stuff like Stargate)

I loved the last episode with all the Avenger references, it just makes the whole universe more enjoyable and real. The sad thing is that from a timeline point of view I don't understand (and especially as they are referencing it) how they are going to get past the Thanos incident on earth if they do another season because anything they do (even if it is another time jump) is going to supersede the next Avengers movie unless they deliberately change the air date to a summer series next year instead of a fall series this year. I loved it when seasons 1 and 2 directly tied into the movies and I would love to see it happen at the end of this season as well. They can be just about to get Talbot and all of a sudden they start disappearing. They can let Avengers 4 resolve the disappearing characters story and why they come back and then the next season of AoS can pick up from there.

I think it may have been mentioned a while ago but Lost in Space has been renewed for a second season which was to be expected.

Maybe the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division rigged this one. Despite ratings similar to those that saw Once Upon a Time cancelled, ABC has renewed its Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD TV show for a sixth season.
The fifth season of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD is averaging a 0.53 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.08 million viewers. Compared to season four, that’s down by 28% in the demo and down by 11% in viewers. Find out how Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD stacks up against other ABC TV shows.
Word is that the sixth season renewal came down to the wire. While the show is weak in traditional ratings, it does well in DVR viewing and is a strong seller internationally. It also helps to keep the Marvel brand in front of audiences and the network didn’t have any new Marvel shows in development for next season. Marvel’s Inhuman’s was cancelled last week.
There’s no word yet on how many episodes will be ordered or if Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD will air on Friday nights once again next season.
|
I am overjoyed. I knew they would do the right thing out of respect for Marvel and the brand. The renewal will allow them to write a quality story arc befitting of the final season and pay homage to the characters and the franchise. This is how you do things properly and I can't wait. If any series deserves a fitting goodbye it is this one.
