Virgin Media business 1Gig Chita

Hi all
this is my first post here.

I am a Virgin Media Business customer and recently upgraded from the 500mbps to the 1Gig package. I had the old Hitron CGNV4 which was an amazing router.

Since the upgrade, we needed a new router which is the new Chita Router. It's a nightmare.

Since installation on 17th August 2022, I have had internet dropouts every 12 hours on average. The wi-fi and the ethernet connections all drop and the only fix is to switch it off and back on. I checked on Virgin Media forums where people have had similar issues but the VM staff push them away as it is usually a business fault.

has anyone had any issues with their new Chita on the 1Gig package on VM Business?

Re: Virgin Media business 1Gig Chita

I have the new Hitron Chita on the business 1 Gb/s package and have not experienced any of the issues you mention. It has been very reliable and stable.

I have the 5 Static IP address option one quick is the Chita will not respond to 192.168.0.1 as the previous Hitron did - have to use the first IP address of by block of 5 to access it.
