Very poor game at OT today, both sides well below average. United got the luck with some decisions but I think both penalties where correct, not sure about the disallowed Hammers goal.

I suppose you could use the mid week exertions as an excuse but it was not pleasant to watch.

l do think the mid week matches do take it out of some players plus the managers like to rotate a bit before the next batch of European matches.

I was praying for Young to get booked last week, unfortunately Shaw did. First 10 minutes where ok but two stupid mistakes against a side like Barcelona and you are gone.

Sadly if Man Utd want to get back to the top table in Europe money will need to be spent but more importantly spent correctly on players who will improve them..

l know as Gary Lineker passed a comment the other day about it basically stating "Why are the Premier league not helping our teams in Europe" like all the other leagues in Europe do.
Add to that the inflexibility of the TV broadcasters and there is diddly squat of anything changing sadly.
