"Of course, having been robbed of his clothes by a marauding gang of thugs my client was just taking shelter and hiding from said thugs. The sack full of wines and spirits found nearby was absolutely nothing to do with my client at all Your Honour"

Re: Thick as thieves?
I remember seeing on some TV crime programme the output from a Video Camera someone nicked from the electrical shop (Visionhire in Lewisham, IIRC) that the theif didn't realised was hooked up to an external recorder.. He looked right into the lens..
Anyway, thieves aren't the only ones who are thick, Security System designers sometimes are as well.. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/06..._cctv_cameras/
Edit: Ahh, I knew I'd posted it before: http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/24...so-cheeky.html

Re: Thick as thieves?
Note to any wannabe armed robbers. When choosing a disguise make sure all distinguishing features are covered.

An armed robber who was caught after police recognised his unusual hairstyle
Officers recognised his hair which was closely cut and red at the sides with a longer blonde streak across the top.
They identified repeat offender McDonald as a man they had twice interviewed earlier that week in connection with a separate inquiry.
