That’s strange, because I’ve never been asked about what vaccines I’ve had when visiting another country.

Regardless. A Judge is interviewing him tomorrow, hopefully to overturn this immoral and pathetic, disgraceful and tyranny behaviour. Had Trump done this, you and others would be foaming at the mouth.

The UK isn't considered an at-risk country for anything so few countries require from us but a lot of the Southern Hemisphere, including Australia, require a vaccine against Yellow Fever to enter if you're from somewhere that has Yellow Fever. A lot of Africa requires it from everyone.

Pretty sure Damien would be congratulating Trump on making a rare sensible decision. Once he'd pinched himself and realised it wasn't a dream!

Hysterical,

A country deciding & enacting it’s own immigration policy, being lambasted by someone who voted for something that will enable the same thing to happen in our country.

Oh you poor Syrian refugee, you can’t come in, you’re a drain on our resources
Ah anti vax spouting nutjob tennis player, come on it…..

Hysterical nothing.

This is nothing to do with immigration so don’t bother to trying to conflate the two issues because they are different.

This is about vaccination status to enter a country. Nothing else.

Also, he is pro-choice, not an anti-vaxxer, at the end of the day, it’s none of your business, what he chooses to do, especially based on a vaccine that does nothing to stop transmission of Covid-19.

You’d never get Ministers in the UK seeking to thwart the independence of the judiciary.

Is Novak not getting thrown out for being an illegal immigrant in the sense he achieved a visa through deceit?

His visa has been unilaterally revoked by a minister after it being granted it back by a Judge - any wrong doing on Novak's part, surely has to be ruled by the judiciary again, innocent until proven guilty, or did you conveniently forget this part to fit yours and others immoral narrative, that it is ok to forbid entry on medical grounds for a vaccination that does nothing to stop transmission.

Re: Novak Djokovic tries to go to Oz

His visa hasn’t been revoked for that reason. I’m not being “immoral”, but it’s blatantly obvious Novak gamed the situation by faking a positive Covid test with the relevant authorities in his homeland for the purposes of of obtaining a visa.

He’s been found out because he didn’t isolate at home - a crime in Serbia punishable by a fine or community service.

It’s moved beyond the vaccine passport phase of the argument.

If he wanted to cheat the system he should have at least isolated in line with local restrictions. Had he done that he’d be playing tennis next week.

I accept the points about little/no valid case for a vaccine passport where vaccines don’t stop transmission - but at this point that’s irrelevant. He lied on his forms for entry a fact he plainly admits.

If that merits being chucked out that’s a matter for Australia and their Ministers. They’re a democracy if substantial amounts of Australians disagree then they can vote for someone else.

Novak had a choice though. He had more than one choice.

He could have chosen to get the vaccine and meet the eligibility rules easily for Australia and he chose not to do so.

Even then having, apparently, got COVID in December he could have chosen not to travel abroad in the 14 days prior and he could have chosen not to do an interview with L'Equipe whilst positive - a choice he didn't give the journalists - but he chose not to do so.

Then he chose to lie on his immigration form.

So now Australia have chosen to kick him out.

Then the point I make yet again, which you have conveniently ignored is that, if he has done wrong then let it be handled by a court of law, not a minister making a decision off the whim.

I'll withdraw anti vaxe however nutjob remains

https://ftw.usatoday.com/2020/05/nov...science-babble

it's also none of your business what the Australian government choose to do.

My opinion of him is just as pertinent as your opinion of the Australian government.

It’s not a point I’ve ignored but if the law gives Ministers powers and rights to exercise those powers independently of the judiciary then that’s the prerogative of lawmakers in any land.

Then again, it should be handled by a court of law or are you just happy for checks and balances to be ignored and now support communism by the back door and Australia becoming a Banana Republic ?

Additionally - Why would he want to take a vaccine that does nothing to stop transmission and could potentially have side effects that he does not want, being a healthily sporting athlete - that is his choice, he is not effecting anyone else by not getting vaccinated, any more than a vaccinated person is. Because both can equally pass on the virus.
