Is there any update from you guys in the know about new apps coming to Virgin, e.g. Apple+TV app or the Disney+ one?

Talks ongoing regarding 2 apps atm.
One was supposed to arrive in November but Liberty Global messed something up their end.

Disney+ should be the priority, but it depends on how long until Sky's period of exclusivity ends.

Discovery+, Apple TV+ and BritBox would all be nice additions too.

The number of Netflix subscribers grew to 222 million last year, but the streaming firm is facing a rocky road ahead as the surge of interest it saw during the pandemic fades.

Overall, Netflix added 18.2 million members last year - roughly half the number who subscribed in 2020.

Investors had hoped that pace would start to pick up again.

But the firm's 2022 forecast brought bad news, sending shares down almost 20% in after-hours trade.

The firm said it expected to add just 2.5 million members in the three months to March - far lower than analysts had expected.

I believe that the Sky exclusivity in respect of Disney+ ended last year. They have done a similar exclusivity deal with Discovery+, more’s the pity.

Agreed. I suspect Discovery + will become part of HBO Max in the future anyway.

Agreed. And since HBO Max isn't a great name I wouldn't be surprised if the combined service is renamed to something else, maybe Discovery Max. They want people to Discover new TV content so the name works in my opinion.

I would prefer Discovery+ and HBO MAX, but that doesn’t appear to be an option, more’s the pity. I have zero interest in sport.

It's still in brainstorming/planning stage atm chances are there will be a discovery+ and hbomax package.
