Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
ESPN could be an outsider for the remaining 2 packs as they are set to offer their own steaming service.
Safe bet would be 1 each to Sky and BT

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
So the packs remaining:
Package F – NOT YET ASSIGNED
Total matches: 20 Matches per club: Max two; Min two
Kick-off times: All 20 matches from one Bank Holiday and one midweek fixture programme
Package G – NOT YET ASSIGNED
Total matches: 20 Matches per club: Max two; Min two
Kick-off times: All 20 matches from two midweek fixture programmes
Does that mean however wins say one of these packages have to simulcast all games on that day? For example all 10 games from a bank holiday at the same time? 10 games simulcast from a Wednesday? If so it's no surprise a buyer hasn't been secured yet.

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
The Telegraph are reporting nobody bid the reserve price for the 2 unsold packages of games. It's also suggested the packages where designed to entice interest from streaming services.

The sale resumes on Thursday.

Interesting that Discovery and Disney are not mentioned in this report.

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
The streaming services want Sports rights but don't want to be breaking the bank to acquire them especially when they are only available on a country by country basis.

I know. It will be interesting to see if the whole structure of the bidding arrangements is changed next time to recognise that, given that they appear to want the streaming services on board.
Perhaps the lack of bids from these companies this time was a deliberate strategy by them to force the Premier League to revisit these arrangements.
With the BBC acknowledging that existing broadcast channels will no longer exist in favour of internet only content within the next couple of decades (see linear thread), I can see why the EPL would want to attract the likes of Amazon, Netflix, Disney, Google, Twitter etc at this stage.

A distinct possibility, Den. Sky can only bid for one of them - do you think it will be the Bank Holiday package?

This post gives a breakdown of the reciprocal deal between Sky and BT , it seems there could be some more sensible pricing for taking both.

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
I see from this that they were offering a total of four days (over two deals) as all matches in one day - so multi-channel or red button offering.
The only day I can see a broadcaster going for this is the last day of the season with the total still open - or perhaps Boxing Day.

Why do they if the remaining two packs aren't worth spending more for.
