Perhaps put your concerns in writing so that you have a (dated) point of reference if something grisly does happen in the future? No real solution sorry.

Unfortunately, idiotic vermin scourge that they are, cyclists look for refuge for their own personal safety.

Without concern for anyone else, especially pedestrians.

I suggest all pedestrians wear a helmet.

Clear evidence that £millions needs to be spent on segregated cycleways all over the Country. Keep up the good work papa.

Before you start preaching to pedestrians to wear a helmet you need to preach to some of your fellow cyclists first on that score..

If cyclists obeyed the road rules correctly then there would be no reason to suggest such silly ideas.

Continuing the theme that bland statements deserve bland responses:

Helmets are not compulsory for cyclists (or pedestrians). Didn't you know that?

The road rules are not the issue. There are many 'shared space' facilities which are routinely abused by pedestrians - they'd be safer if they wore a helmet.

l knew that but perhaps a more considered intelligent remark from you to start rather then your typical dismissive throwaway comments against anybody who criticises cyclists as you seem to be stuck on default defending the irresponsible cyclists of which there are quite a few sadly on our roads nowadays.

I made a factually correct statement to assist you. Isn't that the very definition of a considered and intelligent remark? Strewth.

Should be made compulsory for cyclists to wear helmets... It is a no brainer.

shared or not, pedestrians do not need safety hats. Thats just a silly suggestion. If cyclists were more careful and did not break all the rules then there would be no problems. Deliveroo and Uber Eats cyclists are by far the worst around.

And yet, only two countries in the entire World currently require and enforce universal use of helmets by cyclists.

Yes, it is a silly suggestion. A bit like "if cyclists were more careful and did not break all the rules" is also a silly suggestion.

Silly only because for a huge cadre of cyclists they will break the rules so there's no point suggesting they should.
