Re: The War Of The Worlds
Please remember this thread is tagged UK TIMELINE.
Only season 1 has been released in the UK. It was released recently enough that many people will not have seen all of it yet.
SO PLEASE USE SPOILER TAGS, and don’t needlessly ruin it for those who only get to watch an ep or two per week.

My bad - I assumed everyone was up to speed.

Re: The War Of The Worlds
They’re currently filming S3 in Newport today.
I guess that’s the upside - plenty of corpses laying around with shops looted etc.

They did the same thing.
Tell me is it worth sticking with, be honest.

Re: The War Of The Worlds
There’s a fairly interesting twist on “that” which could be worth sticking around for but in all honesty I’m pretty underwhelmed.
If you’ve got nothing else to watch then it’ll pass the time.

Re: The War Of The Worlds
You might want to slap some spoiler tags around that…

Re: The War Of The Worlds
Having finally finished season 1 last night, I don’t think the big reveal is necessarily what it might first seem. There’s a great deal of ambiguity around what exactly Emily has found. Can’t wait to get stuck in to S2.

Re: The War Of The Worlds
That’s just it, there is a twist involved but from what I’ve read online it’s quite divisive. It’s certainly an interesting twist on what was originally a twist in itself and my hopes rest in what they do with it now.
IMO it has to form the basis of S3 otherwise I can’t see it coming back for a 4th season.
I really hope to be wrong though…

Re: The War Of The Worlds
If you are looking for a fast paced, action filled alien invasion, this is not the show for you.
I think part of the problem is the title - it is a "war of worlds", but not quite in the way people think.

Re: The War Of The Worlds
Well I finally finished it. I half guessed the "twist", which in itself opens up all kinds of paradoxal questions. I agree I don't know where a 3rd season would go.

Re: The War Of The Worlds
They finished filming just up the road from me at the weekend, from what I could make out they were doing some “action” scenes and the word around here is they were using new characters, or at least ones people didn’t recognise from previous eps.
Here’s hoping they do well with S3…

Re: The War Of The Worlds
It will be interesting to see where it goes, I'm assuming it will be set in that pre invasion time.

War of the Worlds Season 3 starts on Epix in September (12th).
Quote:
Set in present-day France and the U.K., Season Three picks up as the war between the survivors and aliens reaches a new turning point and a terrifying phenomenon grips countless people across the globe. With stakes at an all-time high, one survivor sets out to investigate, forming a tentative partnership with another unlikely hero along the way. The pair will need to use every resource they have available to face an opposition more dangerous than ever in their fight, once again, for the survival of all humanity.
