Re: The Mandalorian
I absolutely loved every minute of it and the setting, look and feel of it. I don't feel like I have to know much about the character. It was the same with Bona Fett, he was a great character even though we didn't know much about him, he was bad ass and that was enough.

We wouldn't have had the cacky <30 minute episodes and by the end of the season we would have known who he was and still had the Yoda story line to continue in season 2. As it stands at the moment we have had a full season and know nothing about nothing. To me it is like the A-team, Airwolf or old BSG where the same thing happens every week just in a different setting. I expected more given the calibre of the writers/directors/producers involved.
Im starting to wonder if there is anything you actually like.
You seem to have far too many expectations for things that are simply designed to entertain, and do so.
I knew you was going to say that I loved Runaways and thought the final episode was very good and i am just finishing season 4 of The Expanse and have really enjoyed it as well. I wish it was a 20 episode season becaust i want more more more. Lost in Space next.

Re: The Mandalorian
I got bogged down with lost in space s1. I’m trying again at my father in law’s recommendation as he said the second half of season 1 is better, but up to the halfway point I thought it was too slow. Too few ideas spun out far too much - some of the episodes are over an hour long (this is a bugbear of mine with some material that’s been commissioned for streaming. The lack of requirement to fit a broadcast slot all too often leads to undisciplined editing). I’m on s1e8 next.
Mandalorian docuseries to air at the end of Clone Wars in May. I am looking forward to it because I don't think people appreciate how much goes into a series these days. I caught a video on youtube in January in which they showed you some new technology they had developed to assist in the filming and it blew me away. We are getting closer and closer to Star Trek all the time.
