Re: Is it Art?
Is this art, the lady that did it thinks it is, I beg to differ, it looks more like abuse to me

If taking a lollipop of a kid is going to "emotionally scar it for life", what is happening in school-yards and playgrounds around the world - Gulf War 3?

Re: Is it Art?
Well, to me this is art, but it's also Maths...
All the pictures are created from a single closed loop...
And I'm not biased 'cos my avatar's in there...
The pieces are based on TSP, the Travelling Salesman Problem. Visit a number of cities (represented by points on the loops) in the shortest possible distance...

This is an interesting introduction to 'Modern Art' from the San Francisco Museum...

Back to art... Its the sign of a very poor artist. Anyone that lacks the conception that they have to have actual models pose exactly, and that she is so poor at rendering a design that she has to use photos, subjecting kids to that, is very poor form for me.
However, if you want an excellent example of brilliant art of that concept, see this from artist Mark Ryden.
Rose:
Still sends chills down my spine... Just like The Scream by Munch (which has just been found after being stolen for years).

Re: Is it Art?
That picture by Mark Ryden was tattooed onto a girls lower back on Miami Ink.
Im starting to lean towards graffiti type art - specifically banksy's stuff.

Sorry, what I meant to say is "What parents would put their children through that"

Explore & enjoy...
Hint, don't click on everything at first, just move the mouse pointer over objects...
