Network Diagram Software.

I used to use Visio to draw Diagrams of all devices in my network, lisiting MAC addresses etc.

Now I no longer have Visio, so can somebody recommend something that will enable me to map my network, using images that represent them (phone, tablet, xbox, laptops etc.

Re: Network Diagram Software.

http://www.networknotepad.com/index.shtml - the free version of this any good?
Or http://www.weresc.com/network.php - actually, CADE is also a generalized diagrammer http://www.weresc.com/cade.php

Two freebies specifically for network diagramming - there are quite a few more general ones, such as "Dia"

This isn't bad as a general Visio replacement

Hmm, looks interesting, but it needs (cue Jaws shark attack theme) JAVA.

How things change though, once upon a time, it was always "Oh no, .Net bloat", now it's "Oh no, Java, the attack magnet".

Actually though, disabling Java from the browser, neutralizes the main attacks, known or unkown.
