Would I get a credit?

My phone started going funny last night, kept restarting every 15 minutes. I uninstalled all apps apart from one (an Arriva app which I buy a 4 weekly ticket through). It seemed to be fine before going to bed, so thought it was fixed. Woke up during the night, went to use it to see where I was going, and it restarted twice in the space of 5 minutes. Thought great, all I need. Woke up it was fine again, until I went to go out. Then it just went into the cycle of restarting all the time. Seems to have settled down now, have reset it to factory settings and still going mad.

Virgin shop said to keep an eye on it today and take it back tomorrow if it still carries on restarting. Looking online, it seems that there is a problem with the Sony Xperia L phone doing this and nobody seems to be able to fix it without sending it back to their carrier and getting a new handset sent out. If I have to go down that route, will Virgin be likely to give me a credit on the next bill as I have no other phone to use so fail to see why I should pay the full tariff for the month if I am going to be unable to use my SIM card in another phone. Obviously not expecting a whole month free, but just a credit for those days when I am without a phone.

Re: Would I get a credit?

No harm in giving them a call to find out...maybe they could give you a replacement till your phone gets fixed...

Re: Would I get a credit?

My EE (T-Mobile) gave my sister a temporary phone while hers was being fixed.

Re: Would I get a credit?

Cool. I actually sat there this afternoon and deleted all bar one app. Seems to have settled down and stopped restarting. Now to do a install of each app until I find the one that caused the problem.
