Daniel Cormier knocks out Stipe Miocic to become a double Champion.

Daniel Cormier took all of one round to knock out Stipe Miocic and derail the Heavyweight champion, thus becoming a LHW and HW title holder simultaneously. Only the second time in history it's occurred. Conor McGregor holding both the FW and LW titles first.

The bigger news was the confirmation that Brock Lesnar would step back in the Octagon after being called out by Cormier. Lesnar stormed the cage to set up a November showdown. Lesnar of course returning from a drugs suspension and is currently WWE champion.

Cormier beats the crap out of Lesnar whether he's doping or not. Lesnar has a prime skill of wrestling, something Cormier is probably the best in the world at. Cormier can bang and Lesnar has a week chin. It's just a poor match up and a completely undeserved one for Lesnar who isn't really in the top 10 heavyweights in the world.

Lesnar will go in as a huge underdog. I give it the same though, Cormier destroys him inside a round. Brock gets paid which is all he cares about. Likely forfeits a third of his purse when he's found cheating again and receives a two year ban and thus retirement. Purse will be so big he won't care, just like that boring Hunt fight. Lesnar can't get away with laying on a guy for 3 rounds this time though.

Lesnar and his arrogance though. Calling top level fighters pieces of * these being the same top level fighters that didn't get tapped by Frank Mir or rocked by him. The same fighters that didn't get knocked out by Alistair Overeem in 40 seconds. It's no wonder he struggles to get anyone on his side. The same reason the UFC fans turned on his in his first stint. Hope Cormier runs through him and we can send him packing with Paul Brooks and be rid of the pair of them for good. If there was ever an argument for the biggest piece of * fighter to hold the title in the last 20 years it'd be ironic because it's literally himself.

Re: Daniel Cormier knocks out Stipe Miocic to become a double Champion.

Confusion now, Brock Lesnar can not compete till January 9th 2019 because of his previous ban for doping. Rules mean he has to be in the testing pool for 6 months following a ban. He's been in since July 3rd, nullifying any chance of a November bout. All tests will be made public. This doesn't really matter though because he popped pre fight and post fight last time so anything 2-6 weeks before hand (a typical steroid cycle) won't show up until after the fight and after Lesnar has ridden off into the sunset.

Once again it throws the hypocrisy of WWE into question who routinely test superstars for PEDs as part of their wellness policy and suspend them for X amount of days depending on how many times they've popped. Lesnar doesn't have to undertake this as he's contracted part time. He wasn't suspended from WWE after he popped twice under contract with the UFC which again is hypocritical when he's a major player in your company.

I struggle to see Lesnar overcome Cormier without PEDs and even with them it's a hard ask. I'm confident the PEDs last time were to make shape in short notice. He was nowhere near being in shape with 6 weeks notice coming into UFC 200 so that could be the reason. He's got until January at least to make shape. He better pull it off without PEDs or he'll end up with a legacy like Jon Jones and he'll be forgotten as ever being a UFC champion.

Following on. There's obviously backlash at Lesnar being given this opportunity when there's 11 other fighters ranked above him. This is Cormier though. He's made clear Lesnar can draw the money and that he's setting up for retirement.
