Could some one kindly provide me picture of Virgin Medias Broadband wall socket.

Hi Everyone,

The reason I require an image is I have moved into a new property and I am after broadband with out phone line. There seems to be a virgin media wall socket already but I am not sure if its for broadband. Lastly could some one please confirm if its the same socket for Virgin Media TV and Broadband.

Thank you!

Broadband and TV use the same socket, it is an f-type connector, which is also the same used on satellite TV cable. If you have a Virgin Media installation in your house, then there will be a white isolator box mounted on the living room wall with a female f-connector protruding from it.

Cable phone uses the same connector as BT and will be terminated in a separate wall plate.

Awesome! Found the image on google this is the one right. Another question please as you know landlords these days O_o. Do you reckon the engineer wont have to drill any holes and can use this socket?

That is the correct socket. I can t see why any drilling would be needed, unless you wanted TV or broadband in a different room.

Yeah if you're happy having the modem in the same room, then no holes need to be drilled. In fact, you probably wouldn't need an engineer, you might be able to just plug it in yourself.
