Restore backup?
Sorry for new thread but the problem is different.
Due to major issues with Win 10 updates I have just had to do a clean reinstall of Win 10 on my wifes laptop.
So far I have managed to reinstall most of her programs and set up email clients after a bit of messing around.
Before I did the full reinstall of Windows I used the backup utility in the control panel to make a backup of all personal files and folders to a removable drive.
I now want to reinstall this backup to the PC but can't seem to find any way of doing it?
What am I missing?
Jim.

Re: Restore backup?
Yep, seen that, that doesn't seem to work with a new reinstall though.
So far I have managed to drill down into the removable drive and copy and paste the individual folders across successfully. The only things now causing problems are the Outlook Contacts, even though I have copied those across they are still not showing when I open Outlook.

Re: Restore backup?
The very latest version in Office 365, I have eventually managed to transfer all of the Outlook data files from the backup drive, just had to alter the read/write permissions for the data folders.
