Which home security camera

I'm looking at getting a security camera that I can have indoors aimed at my front door, night vision, HD etc.

So in the event of activity it activates and records and saves any footage to one of my NAS drives (both WD), and alerts me and allows me to access the footage.

I have seen the full home security setup but that is overkill.

Nest requires a subscription, which is stupid when I have a perfectly placed NAS.

I've seen Hive, but I'm confused if I need a hub or not to access it remotely?

Any help welcome.

Re: Which home securuty camera

Have you looked at Foscam?

I got a model similar to this : https://www.amazon.co.uk/Foscam-FI98...4813089&sr=1-7 a few years ago - it could do the things you wanted

Nest and Hive received poor reviews on last night's Gadget Show:

The Arlo was the best out of the three that they reviewed.

Yeah I saw that.

But can I justify £500 for the Arlo?

Re: Which home security camera

I'd say yes if the other two are going to let you down at a crucial moment.

Perhaps there are some cheaper cameras on the market that are just as reliable as the Arlo though.
