New Mouse Question

I wonder if anyone on here can help me track down a mouse that will be more helpful for my needs.

At the moment i have the Logitech G502 and its great for games but i have a problem. Back in September and November of 2017 i had Sepsis which has caused nerve damage to both my hands and feet. When using the mouse for a prolonged time my hand goes numb and locks up with cramp which is extremely painful.

So what im asking is can someone recommend a mouse that maybe more helpful for my needs?

Thanks.

Use a better mouse mat that comes with good quality gel wrist pad / support.

Maybe consider a vertical mouse?

https://www.t3.com/features/best-vertical-mouse

For some people they help reduce wrist strain

Re: New Mouse Question

I tried a trackball for a while, but couldn't really get on with it. I often use my mouse left handed at work, after having shoulder problems, but that wouldn't be an option for gaming. It felt kind of weird at first but got used to it after a while.

Re: New Mouse Question

The new Vertical mouse has worked out brilliant, now im after something a little more advanced to this basic one that i got.

Basically the main thing i am after are buttons that i can reprogram to say double click etc.

Anyone have any idea?

Re: New Mouse Question

Depends how many buttons you want to control

Logitech are pretty good at customisation of their buttons and have a vertical mouse:
https://www.logitech.com/en-gb/produ...rgonomic-mouse

4 buttons on it can be changed to your choice of action including keystroke assignment via their Options software

Windows has an option to single click, no need program mouse buttons.

That does only work in Folders. It's not a system wide replacement

Can to tell me where it doesn't work? If you are referring to W10 don't bother as I don't use it.

As regards W7 I haven't had to use double click for years.

If you have a game or other program that requires a double click for an action, that setting wouldn't apply to it. It's specifically for use in the Windows Folders.

However using a mouse program such as Logitech Options would allow a button assignment that mimics a double click that I would expect would work everywhere - unless specifically over-ridden by in-game button changes for instance.
