Re: What have you just bought?
750g beef topside\top rump joint, was £11.06. Mine for £3.50.
Popped in the freezer for a future Sunday dinner.

Have they fixed the issues with the Xbox One X UHD player as it was proved to be really terrible compared to the Xbox One S or other UHD players, i think it needed a software update?
Looks like it maybe fixed or have 1 soon.

Re: What have you just bought?
Bought, or more accurately redeemed the mortgage on my house using some of my inheritance with a CHAPS transfer at the bank this morning. I will officially own the freehold. YAY!

Congratulations!
I agree - it’s a great feeling.
We paid ours off mid-2011, by mainly not reducing payments if the interest rates went down, then with a final payment at the end; we paid off a 25 year mortgage in 18 years.

Definitely the smart move with interest rates at historical lows.

We should pay off ours in 2019 provided the endowments don't really fail. One is now green lettered the the other is red but we've reduced the sum owed by over 30k so they really would need to lose everything. We are currently on a fixed rate until 2019 so are in the group wanting interest rate rises to help our savings.
